Join Our HR Team

Collision Auto Parts is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in San Diego.

This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys recruiting, working with employees, staying organized, and being involved in the day-to-day activities of a busy HR department.

The primary focus of this position is full-cycle recruiting for hourly positions, including warehouse, delivery, sales, and administrative roles. You'll also provide administrative support across other areas of Human Resources, giving you the opportunity to continue building your HR knowledge and experience.

You'll work closely with HR leadership and our HR team while supporting employees and managers across multiple locations.

What You'll Do
Recruiting & Onboarding
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned hourly positions.

  • Post open positions and source candidates through available recruiting platforms.

  • Review applications and resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings.

  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and candidates.

  • Maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.

  • Prepare offer letters and coordinate pre-employment requirements.

  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding and ensure required documentation is completed.

  • Maintain recruiting records and assist with tracking open positions and hiring activity.

HR Administration & Employee Support
  • Serve as an approachable HR resource for routine employee questions and direct more complex matters to HR leadership.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS information.

  • Process employee changes, transfers, compensation updates, and separation documentation.

  • Assist with timekeeping review and payroll-related administrative tasks.

  • Provide administrative support for benefits and 401(k) matters, including employee questions, documentation, and coordination with the appropriate HR team member or provider.

  • Assist with unemployment claims by gathering records, preparing documentation, and tracking response deadlines.

  • Support employee relations matters through documentation gathering, scheduling, and administrative assistance.

  • Assist with leave-of-absence and workers' compensation documentation and tracking.

  • Complete employment verifications and other routine employee documentation.

  • Help maintain personnel files and required HR records.

  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, training coordination, and special projects.

  • Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information.

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of Human Resources, recruiting, or HR coordination experience preferred.

  • Full-cycle recruiting experience strongly preferred, particularly for hourly positions.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple open positions is a plus.

  • General understanding of HR practices and employment-related requirements.

  • Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, payroll, or timekeeping systems preferred.

  • Paylocity experience is a plus, but not required.

  • California HR experience is a plus.

  • Experience in distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or a similar environment is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on deadlines.

  • Comfortable communicating with employees, candidates, and managers at all levels.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Who Will Do Well in This Role?

You don't need to be an expert in every area of Human Resources.

We're looking for someone who already has a foundation in recruiting or HR administration, enjoys working with people, and wants the opportunity to continue growing their HR experience.

You may spend part of your morning reviewing applicants and conducting phone screens, then coordinate interviews, help onboard a new employee, update information in the HRIS, assist with employee paperwork, or help the HR team with a payroll, benefits, or employee relations matter.

If you're organized, approachable, dependable, comfortable taking initiative, and enjoy a fast-paced environment, we'd like to hear from you.
