Please note that this is an international assignment based entirely on-site in Zambia. While we are welcoming applications from professionals globally, full residential relocation to Zambia is a mandatory condition of employment.

The QA/QC Inspector (Electrical/Mechanical) conducts systematic quality inspections and audits of EPC contractor activities during construction, installation, and commissioning, ensuring all electrical and mechanical works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and international quality standards.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Execute the Project Quality Plan by conducting routine and random inspections of all electrical and mechanical installations on site.
- →Review EPC contractor inspection and test plans (ITPs), material submittals, and method statements.
- →Witness critical tests including HV testing, cable insulation resistance, continuity tests, and commissioning checks.
- →Identify, document, and track NCRs to closure, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
- →Review and approve manufacturer test reports, material certificates, and equipment data sheets.
- →Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and photographic documentation.
- →Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- →Audit EPC contractor quality management systems and verify compliance with approved procedures.
- →Support the final punch list walkdown and acceptance process.
- →Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC status reports.
- →Coordinate with the Civil QA/QC Inspector to ensure interface inspections are completed.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 7 years of QA/QC inspection experience, preferably on power or renewable energy projects.
- Experience with solar PV, inverter stations, or BESS installations on utility-scale projects.
- Familiarity with ITP development, NCR management, and quality audit methodologies.
- Knowledge of relevant IEC and ISO quality standards.
- Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in inspection report writing and documentation management.
