The Enrollment Coordinator plays an important role in helping SDSU Global Campus students navigate enrollment and registration with confidence and ease. As part of a collaborative, cross-trained enrollment team, this position provides accurate and responsive support while processing enrollment transactions, maintaining student records, and resolving registration-related questions and challenges. The role combines attention to detail, policy knowledge, and exceptional student service to help remove barriers and keep learners moving toward their educational goals. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, solutions-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting adult, online, and nontraditional learners.

Responsibilities

  • →Process enrollment and registration transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining complete student records across university systems.
  • →Guide students through enrollment policies, procedures, requirements, and next steps with clear and student-centered communication.
  • →Research and resolve routine and moderately complex enrollment and registration issues to minimize delays and barriers for students.
  • →Collaborate within a cross-trained enrollment team to manage shared service channels, workflows, and high-volume processing needs.
  • →Maintain confidentiality and data integrity while identifying opportunities to improve and document enrollment processes.

  • This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position.
  • This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
  • Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
  • This position is approved for partial telecommuting with onsite work in San Diego after an initial training period.

Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly lean new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite.

These qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply detailed procedures.
  • Accurately enter, review, and reconcile data.
  • Manage competing priorities in a high-volume service setting.
  • Safeguard confidential student information.
  • Learn enterprise student information, customer relationship management, document management, and office systems.
  • Experience in higher education, enrollment, registration, records, or student services is preferred.
  • Experience supporting adult, online, or nontraditional learners is preferred.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Salesforce, document management, or comparable systems is preferred.
  • Experience improving or documenting administrative workflows is preferred.
