Responsibilities

- →Support administrative functions of the Director of Residence Life and the Residence Life team
- →Coordinate the general accounting process and provide support and training to the Residence Life Team, including but not limited to petty cash funds; purchases of programming supplies; reimbursements; and other financial transactions
- →Provide oversight and coordination of the annual health and safety inspections
- →Coordinate Residence Life Team parking passes and assignments
- →Provide administrative support for recruitment of professional staff
- →Provide administrative support for the recruitment and timekeeping of our graduate intern staff
- →Maintain active calendar tracking and communication of upcoming activities, giving special attention to all designated funding sources
Business Services Support:
- →Support administrative functions of the Director of Business Operations and the Business Services team
- →Work independently to implement and coordinate the training of staff on processes and systems, including but not limited to issues related to financial transactions, reimbursements, and housing software
- →Provide reports and data related to finance & budget, staffing, training, occupancy, etc.
- →In collaboration with department partners, this position will also be responsible for information & communication coordination strategies to increase effective communication and outreach
- →Coordinate community front desk operations and provide day-to-day work direction, training, and resources to student staff assigned to those areas.
- →Coordinate cross-departmental processes between Residence Life, Business Services, and * Facilities, including but not limited to: Emotional Support Animal process, Bike Storage Process, Temporary/Emergency housing process, Cancellation process, Student paycheck distribution, Coordination of staff and RA meal plans.
General Responsibilities:
- →Participate on/in department, division, and university projects, committees and task forces.
- →Participate in regional, state, and national organizations related to housing and residence life, student personnel, and student development.
- →Serves as a member of the timeline committee that coordinates the annual move-in and move-out process.
- →Serve in a supportive role for the oversight of contracting and room assignment services for University Housing Services.
- →Occasional night and weekend work is required in order to facilitate annual events such as move-in, campus open houses, orientation, etc.
Requirements

- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Valid Califoirnia driver's license and auto insurance.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of housing operations, including housing operations systems, policies, procedures, laws and regulations, and best practices. Working knowledge of student organizations, collegiate policies, and communications. Strong organizational skills to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects and housing operations. Strong analytical skills to assess operational efficiency and support budget management. Ability to provide lead work direction and training to students and housing support staff. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and campus partners. Proficiency in using housing operations software and/or related equipment.
- Experience working in university housing, student affairs, residential operations, or a comparable environment.
- Experience coordinating administrative or housing operations processes.
- Experience supporting financial transactions, accounts, or budget-related processes.
- Experience providing training or leading work direction to student employees or support staff.
- Experience using housing management systems such as StarRez and enterprise systems such as Oracle PeopleSoft.
- Experience analyzing operational data and developing or improving administrative procedures and processes.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and customer service skills.

Education Code 89521 Requirements

CSU Classification Salary Range
This position is part of the CSUEU bargaining unit 9. The CSU Classification Standards for this position are located on the CSU Classification Standards website.The CSU Salary Schedule is located on the CSU Salary Schedule website. The classification salary range for this position according to the respective skill level is: minimum $4,617 and maximum $6,727 per month. Please refer to the anticipated hiring range for the appropriate salary rate for this particular position.

University Driving Requirement
Positions that require driving for university business by using a personal or state vehicle must comply with the Authorized University Driver Policy. Driving records are monitored and evaluated by the Risk Management Department. The Risk Management Department evaluates a good driving report based on the following criteria. The driver must: 1. Have a valid California or other State Driver’s license. 2. Have no more than 3 motor vehicle violations or been the cause of 3 accidents in a 12-month period (or any combination of 3 thereof) 3. Not have more than 3 DMV Points, if their license is Class C or, 4. Not have more than 5 DMV Points, if their license is Class A, B, or C with endorsements.
