Audit/Record Review Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE Audits and reconciles paper and electronic records from received tissue. Investigates and resolves discrepancies. Scans recovery paperwork from incoming donors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Audits and reconciles paper and electronic records daily.  Investigates and resolves discrepancies. Scans all recovery paperwork into appropriate database Tracks documentation errors and identifies trends. Audits and reconciles other processes and records as assigned. Participates and assists with process improvements and creating and maintaining policies, work instructions, job aids, and nonconformance documentation. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or Equivalent WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES Communicate effectively with internal and external customers Organize records and utilize critical thinking skills to perform review and assessment of those records. Work in a fast-paced environment and juggle completing tasks & demands Basic computer literacy  Utilize solid problem-solving, decision-making skills and strong attention to detail Maintain focus with a high attention to detail Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree from an accredited college preferred. Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) preferred. Familiarity with FDA and AATB regulations and standards. Familiarity with Medical terminology.
