  • Understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems helpful

 

  • High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required or equivalent combination of experience.
  • Associate degree in Industrial Technology or a related area of study preferred

 

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate activities of Maintenance technicians
  2. Assist in the coaching and development of the technicians
  3. Distribute emergency work orders as they are requested
  4. Assist Maintenance Manager as required
  5. Back-up for Maintenance Manager
  6. Identify opportunities for improving production efficiency and effectiveness through
  7. Work with production, engineering, vendors and others to implement improvements through equipment modifications, preventive maintenance and procedural changes
  8. Enhance plant safety by following safe work practices and by identifying and correcting unsafe conditions
  9. Enhance product quality and safety by following GMPs and by identifying and correcting equipment deficiencies
  10. Perform mechanic tasks including, but not limited to:
    1. Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
    2. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
    3. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
    4. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
    5. Continually inspect the manufacturing area for mechanical & electrical issues
    6. Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
    7. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
