This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail, taking ownership, and working collaboratively across the business.

You will support a broad range of tax compliance and advisory activities across the group, including income tax, FBT, GST/BAS, tax accounting, stakeholder liaison and process improvement initiatives. The role will also provide exposure to international tax, M&A activity and broader commercial projects.

  • Assisting with the preparation and lodgement of income tax returns across the group.
  • Supporting the preparation of fringe benefits tax returns and related compliance activities.
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly BAS, GST reconciliations and other indirect tax obligations.
  • Assisting with tax effect accounting, tax calculations and reporting requirements.
  • Liaising with the ATO, external advisers, auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting responses to ATO queries, reviews and information requests.
  • Assisting with tax compliance across Australian and international entities.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve tax processes, controls and reporting.
  • Supporting the business on tax-related queries and commercial transactions.
  • Assisting with tax due diligence, structuring and integration work relating to M&A activity.
  • Maintaining accurate tax records, workpapers and documentation.
  • Staying up to date with changes in tax legislation and helping assess their impact on the group.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a hands-on environment. You will bring strong attention to detail, a practical mindset and a willingness to learn.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in Australian tax compliance, either in professional services or a corporate tax environment.
  • Knowledge of income tax, GST/BAS and FBT compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A commercial mindset and interest in understanding how tax impacts business decisions.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • CA/CPA qualification, or currently working towards one, will be highly regarded.
