Currently we have about 500 employees and as we continue to grow, we have the following vacancy for dedicated diligent Tanzanians: Reports to: Financial Controller Job Summary: The Financial Accountant collaborates with Assistant Accountant & Financial Controller and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks. Job Location: Based, Arusha. Duties and Responsibilities: What does your day as a Financial Accountant at Rijk Zwaan Tanzania look like? In this position, you are responsible for: · Keeping control of legal books and records of accounts such as: General Ledger, sales records, purchase records, inventory · Checking and analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports and accounting statements so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions. · Coordinating the issuance of group monthly and quarterly financial reports such as: income statement, balance sheet, investment control and monthly/quarterly financial control reports. · Assisting in preparation of the short and long-term strategic plan, investment and personnel plan and subsequently the financial budget. · Preparation of monthly tax payments and ensuring compliance with tax laws and other statutory requirements Ensuring timely preparation and filling of VAT returns, Provisional Tax returns, WHT returns, SDL and PAYE. · Assisting in the preparation of the annual financial report including financial statements, notes, supporting schedules, transmittal letter and statistical information. · Preparing provisional tax returns and ensuring that provisional tax payments are done timely. · Support in ensuring accurate fixed assets accounting, accurate fixed assets registering, timely capitalization and writing off assets. · Assisting external auditors including TRA auditors, sourcing the necessary information for a smooth audit exercise. Acting as the link between the company and external auditors and providing all the necessary support during and after the field work. · Upkeeping and filing of all the companies’ financial documents. · Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Financial Controller. Requirements What do you bring? Competencies and Personal Attributes: · You have excellent verbal and Written Communication. · Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures. · Familiarity with Tax and finance regulations. · Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors. · Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Navision) · Organization skills. · Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. · Reliable, honest, and a trustworthy person. · Team player. · Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. · Good time management. · Attention to details. · Experience in report writing. In addition, we expect the following: Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting , Finance or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance. CPA(T) Intermediate level will be an added advantage. At least 3 years working experience in accounting & finance. What can you expect from us?
