We're seeking a talented and motivated Product Designer to join our team. As the sole product designer at Cylinder, reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you'll own the end-to-end design function and play a pivotal role in shaping the Cylinder experience — designing features that not only enhance our users' interactions but also contribute to better health outcomes. This is a role brimming with opportunities, enabling you to grow in a fast-paced environment while making a significant difference in people's lives. Responsibilities

  • Own all stages of the design process for the Cylinder platform, from user research and wireframing to final implementation, leveraging AI-powered design and prototyping tools to accelerate workflows and explore design solutions efficiently.

  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and clinical teams to create easy-to-use and visually appealing experiences that align with business goals.

  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including specifications, interactive mockups, and style guides.

  • Perform usability testing and gather user feedback to inform design decisions.

  • Stay updated with the latest UX trends, AI design tools, and competitor products.

  • Ensure the integrity of our product design system while collaborating with marketing to maintain brand consistency.

  • Passionate about using design to make a positive impact on people's health outcomes.

  • Driven by curiosity and a desire for continuous learning, always staying updated with the latest design trends and technologies.

  • A creative problem solver who isn't afraid to take on the challenges of designing for the healthcare industry.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, and remote environment.

  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.

  • Detail-oriented, with a keen eye for aesthetics and visually appealing designs.

  • Open to feedback and constantly willing to improve your design skills.

  • Able to manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in product design, demonstrating an understanding of design principles, user-centered design methodologies, and best practices.

  • While formal education in Product Design is a plus, it's not required. We value experience and skills and welcome candidates from diverse educational backgrounds.

  • Proficiency in Figma is required.

  • Comfort with AI-powered design and productivity tools (e.g., AI features within Figma, ChatGPT, or similar) and a willingness to integrate them into your workflow.

  • Experience implementing user research methods such as surveys, interviews, usability testing, and data analysis to gather actionable insights. Familiarity with the Maze user testing platform is a plus.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to various stakeholders.

  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.

  • Digital healthcare experience is not required but preferred.
