Responsibilities

→Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of a complex, user-facing software product.
→Write high-quality backend code in Python, taking features from definition through to release.
→Work closely with the Product Manager to translate product goals into technical plans, milestones, and deliverables.
→Make key architectural and implementation decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
→Guide the development team through Agile delivery cycles, leading sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
→Establish and uphold engineering best practices, code quality, testing, documentation, and security.
→Conduct code reviews and mentor developers, supporting their technical growth and productivity.
→Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure technical feasibility and excellent user experience.
→Continuously improve the development process and infrastructure to enhance product velocity and quality.

Degree educated, with extensive industry experience.
Strong background in software engineering, ideally with experience delivering end-to-end software products.
Proven ability to lead or mentor development teams within an Agile environment.
Advanced Python development skills, ideally with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
Strong understanding of relational databases, schema design, and SQL.
Familiarity with front-end development (TypeScript, React) is highly desirable.
Experience designing scalable systems and working with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A product-oriented mindset, you care about users, usability, and delivering tangible outcomes.
Experience in cyber security, data-driven applications, or SaaS platforms is advantageous.
