Requirements
~1 min readBachelor's Degree in Event Coordination, Public Relations, Marketing, Arts, or related science field.
5 years in event planning and management, permitting, customer service, or other related work.
CPR/AED/First Aid Certification

1 Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of public relations, marketing and promotion, and business and public administration.
2 Thorough knowledge of cost analysis and ability to provide cost recovery recommendations.
3 Thorough knowledge of the special events industry to evaluate competitive conditions and market potentials.
4 Ability to negotiate contract and manage special event logistics.
5 Ability to recommend, implement, and administer policies and procedures.
6 Ability to evaluate the success of special events and develop effective marketing strategies.
7 Ability to manage customer accounts and explain District policies, rate ordinances and services.
8 Ability to perform detailed arithmetical calculations quickly and accurately.
9 Ability to follow direction in assembling data, preparing accurate reports and maintaining detailed records.
10 Ability to compile and analyze various reports regarding volunteerism, social media presence, community engagement platforms, and partnership agreements.
11 Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
12 Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
