The Supervisor - Transportation & Public Works directly supervises and oversees the work of crews performing streets and public works maintenance and repair.

• High school diploma or GED.
  

• Four (4) years of experience in the operation/maintenance/repair of street, roadway, bridge, and/or storm drainage structures (e.g., levees, creeks, and channels). 
  

• Two (2) years of lead work or supervisory responsibilities. (This experience may be included in the required experience listed.)

• An associate degree or higher in an engineering or construction management field, plus two (2) years of the required experience, including two (2) years of the stated lead work/supervisory responsibilities, will meet the education and experience requirements. 

• Valid Texas Class A or B commercial driver's License (CDL) with a good driving record (or equivalent license from another state)
• Candidates with an out-of-state driver’s license must obtain a Texas Class A or B CDL within the probationary period
