Production Quality Oversight
  • →New product quality control
  • →Provide on-floor quality oversight for production processes and finished goods to ensure conformance to defined requirements.
  • →Identify production process quality risks, implement immediate containment actions, and escalate when thresholds are exceeded.
  • →Ensure production operators and line activities follow approved work instructions, acceptance criteria, and test requirements (as defined).
  • →Lead day-to-day disposition workflows for nonconforming product (containment, segregation, rework/repair verification, and documentation).
Finished-Goods Acceptance
  • →Own finished-goods quality behavior in production, including alignment to 100% finished-goods acceptance expectations.
  • →Ensure failures discovered during finished goods testing are escalated promptly with clear defect description, traceable data, and containment status.
  • →Maintain consistent interpretation and application of acceptance criteria and test methods; ensure changes are controlled through the appropriate channels.
  • →Coordinate staffing, training, standard work, and daily execution expectations for finished goods acceptance activities.
Quality Data Trending, Analysis & Tiered Reporting
  • →Build and maintain production/finished-goods quality trends (defects, escapes, rework, yield, top failure modes) using controlled definitions.
  • →Produce structured weekly/monthly reporting for the Quality Manager and Operations, highlighting repeat issues, systemic risks, and action status.
  • →Ensure quality data is accurate, timely, and traceable (evidence-based) to support audit readiness and risk-based decision-making.
CAPA & Preventive Action Execution
  • →Own execution and closure discipline of production-related corrective and preventive actions, including action tracking, due-date control, and effectiveness checks.
  • →Lead structured root-cause problem solving for production and finished-goods issues in partnership with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
  • →Verify corrective actions are implemented as intended and confirm effectiveness using data trends and defined validation methods.
  • →Escalate stalled actions, repeat failures, or effectiveness concerns to the Quality Manager.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Escalation
  • →Coordinate daily execution with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to address production issues quickly and prevent recurrence.
  • →Provide clear escalation packages (data, defect evidence, containment status, risk statement) when issues exceed defined thresholds.
  • →Support change implementation by validating that quality impacts are assessed and that production acceptance criteria/testing align with released changes.
Continuous Improvement
  • →Lead practical improvements that reduce rework, defects, escapes, and variation in production and finished-goods acceptance activities.
  • →Standardize and sustain improvements through updates to training, standard work, and controlled acceptance criteria (through the proper release process).
  • →Apply disciplined, data-driven problem solving to prevent “inspection-only” quality behavior and drive prevention at the production level.
