Bluejay — Senior Member of Technical Staff

• →Architecting simulation, analysis, and evaluation systems for conversational AI (voice and multimodal)
• →Designing resilient, scalable AWS infrastructure for millions of real-time conversations
• →Building algorithms and pipelines that surface insights, detect failure modes, and keep agents safe and aligned
• →Leading the technical execution of projects end to end
• →Working directly with customers to build and deploy

Tech stack: Python, FastAPI, Supabase, Redis, heavy AWS (Lambda, EC2, Websockets, SIP), CI/CD; voice-AI tooling (LiveKit, Deepgram, Cartesia, ElevenLabs, Gemini); observability (Sentry, PostHog, Grafana, Datadog).

• At least 6 years of engineering experience at a senior level
• Deep full-stack proficiency, with real strength in databases, AWS, and AI engineering
• Hands-on experience with modern voice-AI tooling (e.g. LiveKit, Deepgram)
• A track record of building high-traffic systems at scale and owning technical execution end to end
• A standout background — a strong undergraduate degree and/or time at a top fast-growing startup
• Excellent communication skills and genuine comfort in customer-facing settings
• Able to work on-site in San Francisco five days a week (approx. 9–7)

• Experience handling very large scale as an individual contributor or senior engineer
• Prior technical-lead experience owning projects end to end
• Strong design instincts, deep systems intuition, and a highly optimized development workflow
• A personable, confident communicator who thrives in front of customers

• Compensation — $225,000–$300,000 + equity
