Lab Technician

Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is looking for a “Lab Technician” based in San Diego, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate : $25/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K Seeking a Lab Technician I to support laboratory operations by maintaining facilities and equipment, managing waste and supplies, and assisting research teams with day-to-day lab needs. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance of incubators, water baths, centrifuges, and cold-storage equipment. Log maintenance activities and laboratory data accurately using specialized software. Triage help-desk tickets and troubleshoot basic equipment issues and lab malfunctions. Conduct daily lab safety inspections and report concerns to EHS. Manage collection and safe disposal of biological and chemical hazardous waste. Wash and autoclave glassware and maintain PPE and laboratory supplies. Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution. Support Lab Managers with equipment troubleshooting and laboratory maintenance procedures. Required Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline + 1+ year lab experience, OR High School Diploma/GED + 3+ years of laboratory experience. Pipetting skills Familiarity with laboratory equipment safety regulations. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and teamwork.
