Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility of Extension) Pay Rate : $47 - 48/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Cell Line Development (CLD) Scientist to join the Cell Line Development group at our Foster City facility. The role will support cell line development programs for a growing biologics pipeline, with hands-on responsibility across mammalian cell culture, CHO cell line generation, clone selection, and process development activities. Key Responsibilities: Execute end-to-end CHO Cell Line Development activities, including mammalian cell culture, transfection, single-cell cloning, clone screening, cell banking, and cell line maintenance. Perform shake-flask and fed-batch experiments, including bench-scale bioreactor studies. Independently execute experiments, analyze data, troubleshoot technical issues, and document results. Support automation and high-throughput technologies for clone generation, selection, and workflow optimization. Collaborate with Cell Culture, Analytical Development, Pilot Plant, and other cross-functional teams. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and communicate experimental results and recommendations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 6+ years or Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, or a related field. Extensive hands-on experience in mammalian/CHO cell culture and Cell Line Development. Experience with transfection, single-cell cloning, clone screening/selection, cell banking, cell counting, and shake-flask operations. Experience supporting cell line development programs within a biopharmaceutical or biotechnology environment. Strong understanding of CLD workflows, experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting. Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
