Senior Engineer, Planning

POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Project Planner is responsible for managing and supporting construction schedules across live projects while developing tender schedules for upcoming projects using pre-construction information. This role ensures efficient planning, reporting, and schedule management through close collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and vendors. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Manage and update the Integrated Management Schedule for multiple projects using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6. 

• Report schedule progress and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders. 

• Collaborate with the construction team and contractors to assess actual progress and planned construction methodologies. 

• Prepare delay analysis reports and propose recovery strategies or delay mitigation measures. 

• Develop detailed schedules, including reports, extracts, and short-term schedules. 

• Communicate with vendors to confirm lead times and delivery dates. 

• Implement improvements and innovations in the scheduling and planning processes. 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS 

• Degree in a construction-related field with training in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6. 

• Experience managing large construction projects with strong technical and scheduling expertise. 

• Commercial awareness of construction contracts, including identifying and documenting changes and delays. 

• Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills, able to work cooperatively with diverse teams and stakeholders. 

• Highly organized and adaptable, with excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and planning abilities. 

• Proficient in contract knowledge and safety awareness, ensuring compliance and effective project management.
