Nurses Make a Difference!\r\nNow offering Recruitment and Referral Incentives at the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS)!\r\n$10,000.00 recruitment incentive for:\r\nRegistered Nurses\r\nAdvanced Practice Nurses\r\nNurse Consultants\r\nNursing Supervisors\r\nCompliance Nurses�\r\n\r\n\r\n$7,500.00 recruitment incentive for Licensed Practical Nurse\r\n$5,000.00 recruitment incentive for Certified Nurse’s Assistant\r\n�\r\nReferral bonuses of $1,000 are available to referring DHSS employees.\r\nYou must be a new employee to the State of DE to be eligible for this program.\r\n�\r\nThe Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeks to increase the number of applicants for clinical nursing positions by offering a recruitment incentive to eligible Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant candidates in accordance with the DHSS Recruitment and Referral�Incentive Program.\r\n�\r\nThe program provides incentives as follows:\r\nRecruitment incentives will be paid in quarterly installments over the first year of hire and will begin after the first quarter of employment. New employees accepting this recruitment bonus must commit to two consecutive years of employment with DHSS.� You must be a new employee to the state to be eligible for this incentive.\r\n�\r\nReferral bonuses of $1,000 are available to current DHSS employees who refer new hires to the state in the following classifications: Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant.�Referral bonuses of $1,000 will be paid in quarterly installments over the first year of hire of the referred applicant.\r\n�\r\n\r\nNOTE: This program is administered by the Department of Health and Social Services. The program may be terminated by the State at any time.\r\n

Summary Statement

The Nursing Supervisor manages nursing staff and the direct care needs of\r\nthe residents. Duties include managing nurses and CNA direct care staff on the\r\nshift, including scheduling, performance reviews and plans of staff,\r\ndocumentation review and training needs for staff, and management of staff in\r\nESTAR timekeeping system. Responsibilities also include resident chart review\r\nand hospitalization summaries, clinical rounding, preparing and managing staff\r\nmeetings, communication with interdisciplinary team, review of resident\r\nrecords, review for accuracy of physician/NP orders, medication reviews,\r\nnursing monthly summaries, leadership and teambuilding, daily census reports,\r\nattendance reports, promotion of Infection Control program, attendance to mandatory\r\nmeetings, scheduling of staff training, review of time and attendance audits,\r\ncompletion and submission of disciplinary reports and recommendations to\r\nNursing Administrator, resident advocacy, support of Person-Centered Care\r\nModel, review and revisions of resident care plans, familiarization with and\r\ncompletion of Nursing Supervisor forms with a strong understanding of facility\r\nand Division policies and procedures, strong clinical skills, mentoring of\r\nstaff, and all other roles/responsibilities deemed appropriate for the\r\nleadership of a shift Nursing Supervisor.\r\n

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Nursing Supervisor \r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: \r\n\r\n At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing and at least two years' experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Master's degree or higher in Nursing and at least one year experience as a Registered Nurse. \r\n Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license. \r\n Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Conditions of Hire

All new hires are required to attend an in-person, statewide mandatory New Employee Orientation on their first day of employment. The session will be held at a designated location in either Kent or New Castle County.\r\nA satisfactory criminal background check is required and must be covered by the applicant, with an estimated cost of $85.00. Pre-employment drug testing is also required. Additionally, all new hires are required to complete a 2-Step TB/PPD test, which will be administered on their first day at the facility.� �\r\nThe selected candidate must follow the federal conflict-of-interest requirements under 45 CFR 1321 for all duties related to the Older Americans Act Title III programs. The candidate will be required to complete a Conflict-of-Interest Form to be provided at interview, disclose any actual or potential conflicts, and take part in annual reviews before beginning any Older Americans Act work.� ��\r\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
