Client is seeking an experienced Electrical Trade Manager to lead electrical trade field operations, quality, and code compliance across our manufacturing and construction operations. Serving as the company's licensed electrical authority, this role owns trade planning and execution across assigned projects — from constructability reviews and labor forecasting through on-site performance — while overseeing design conformance, inspections, and workforce competency to ensure every client module meets applicable codes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for trade field operations across assigned projects
  • Planning (Pre-Construction)
  • Review design documents for constructability and clarity, and provide feedback to the design team prior to final Field Drawing issue
  • Review the program schedule consistently and maintain the trade labor forecast for all assigned upcoming projects
  • Review proposed material buyout packages from the Project Manager to ensure material/component compliance, compatibility, quantity, and site delivery scheduling
  • Build out a detailed work schedule for all trade activities required on each assigned project, coordinating directly with Site Field Leadership (Superintendent) and Project Management (PM) to integrate into the overall project schedule and milestone achievement
  • Responsible for assigning all trade foremen/leadmen/journeymen/helpers to their respective projects and communicating assignments to them
  • Ensure Foremen assigned to each project fully understand the Trade schedule for their assigned project and drive deep commitment to achieving schedule milestones
  • Responsible for securing tools and equipment needed for trade work activities for all projects; ensure costs for tools and equipment are accounted for in estimates and project budgets, and track costs to maintain compliance with budget
  • Execution (During On-Site Construction)
  • Lead manpower and material look-ahead planning directly with each Foreman on assigned projects; responsible for delivering this information to the Trade Project Manager and Site team members as needed
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and other personnel decisions for Foremen and below, based on approved headcounts from the Director of Construction
  • Attend daily meetings to discuss progress and schedule requirements
  • Establish safety training
  • Provide look-ahead requirements
  • Manage material for specific scope
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving all field time submitted for all trade staff on all projects; ensure time is accurate for all employees and cost coded correctly for each project
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Serve as BLOX's licensed electrical trade authority for manufacturing and field operations
  • Oversee electrical quality and code compliance across all modules and projects
  • Establish electrical installation standards, inspection checklists, and quality procedures
  • Review electrical designs, drawings, and submittals for code conformance
  • Coordinate third-party inspections and manage relationships with authorities having jurisdiction and regulatory bodies
  • Investigate electrical quality issues, lead root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions
  • Support permitting, certification, and state modular program requirements
  • Train and develop electrical foremen, electricians, and quality inspectors
  • Stay current on NEC updates, state amendments, and industry best practices
  • Maintain documentation and records supporting compliance and audits
  • Job Skills & Qualifications
  • Active Master Electrician license required, with the ability to serve as the company's license holder
  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience, including leadership or quality assurance responsibilities
  • Deep knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and state and local amendments
  • Experience with modular construction, manufacturing, or industrialized building preferred
  • Experience working with inspectors, authorities having jurisdiction, and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality or construction management software
  • Proven leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites and manufacturing facilities as needed
