Filler Operator - Night Shift, Processing

Operates Pneumatic Scale Filler, Silgan Capper, Video Jet Coder and performs all related functions.

• →Adjusts Filling machine with proper fill weight for product.
• →Reports quality and operational issues to management as they occur and submits work orders.
• →Checks accuracy of container coding for product being filled.
• →Completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• →Monitors chart recorders and makes adjustments when necessary.
• →Performs metal detector verification tests.
• →Ensures fill detection equipment is functioning prior to startup and tests regularly during a production run.
• →Assists Check Weight Operator to supply capper.
• →Isolates product that deviates from standards and reports to management.
• →Monitors Rinser temperature, spray pattern, and clears jams.
• →Follows filed operating process at all times.
• →Utilize scanners or thin client units to make SAP transaction for the purpose of maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring reliable product traceability.
• →Obtains all necessary samples of product in a timely manner.
• →Performs CIP/COP sanitizing utilizing procedures and methods.
• →Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc.
• →Examines final package for any defects, i.e. glass, cap, code, etc.
• →Follows all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory quality, and sanitation requirements.
• →Performs items on Master Sanitation lists when production is not running.
• →Maintain sanitary equipment conditions during production.
• →Maintain safe environment and perform other duties in a safe manner at all times.
• →Ability to function in a team based structure and positively contributes to team based efforts.
• →Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• →Shift Schedule - Monday - Friday 8:00PM to 4:00AM
• →Possible Saturdays based on Demand
• →$18.50 Starting Pay / Increase to $23.66 @ 90 Days
• →Shift Differential Paid at $.50/per hour with shifts starting at 2pm or Later

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Able to effectively communicate in writing & speech (English)
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to attain a Forklift Operator License within 30 days of hiring.
