As a Construction Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex construction projects for Digital Realty's data center portfolio. You will oversee projects from planning and design through construction and handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and customers to drive successful project outcomes. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Oversee contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, change requests, and stakeholder communications.
  • Review and approve project documentation, contractor payments, and construction deliverables.
  • Partner with Design, Operations, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to support project success.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve project efficiency, and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally within data centers or other mission-critical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and project controls.
  • Understanding of data center infrastructure, including MEP systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent English communication skills; additional European language skills are advantageous.
