The Opportunity – this is a hybrid role in Marlborough, MA or San Diego, CA

Hologic is seeking a strategic and visionary Director, IT Global Finance & Accounting Solutions to lead the technology strategy, delivery, and optimization of our global Finance and Accounting systems landscape. This highly visible leadership role will serve as the trusted technology partner to Finance leadership, driving digital transformation, process standardization, data integrity, and operational excellence across our global organization.

You will shape the future of Finance technology at Hologic by leading enterprise-scale initiatives, modernizing financial platforms, and delivering innovative solutions that support growth, compliance, operational efficiency, and enhanced decision-making worldwide.

What You'll Do

Shape the Technology Vision

• Define and execute a multi-year global technology roadmap for Finance and Accounting solutions.
• Drive modernization, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across financial systems and processes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to leverage automation, analytics, AI, and innovation throughout Finance operations.
• Partner with Finance leadership to define future-state application architecture and transformation strategies.

Lead Enterprise Solution Delivery

• Own and oversee core financial applications, ensuring performance, scalability, stability, and reliability.
• Lead major Finance technology programs from strategy through implementation and ongoing optimization.
• Manage integrations across enterprise platforms to ensure seamless flow of financial data and processes.
• Ensure solutions support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and internal controls.

Build Strong Business Partnerships

• Serve as the primary IT partner to Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, and executive stakeholders.
• Translate business priorities into technology-enabled solutions that generate measurable value.
• Lead governance discussions, strategic planning sessions, and transformation initiatives across global teams.
• Champion data-driven decision-making by collaborating with analytics and business intelligence teams.

Develop High-Performing Teams

• Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of technology professionals and external partners.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, and service delivery to maximize business value.

Drive Operational Excellence

• Establish and monitor KPIs, service levels, and performance metrics.
• Oversee application support, release management, and continuous enhancement programs.
• Manage Finance technology investments and drive strong ROI through effective planning and execution.  

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive IT experience, including significant experience supporting Finance and Accounting systems.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing global teams and complex enterprise initiatives.
• Proven success implementing and managing global ERP and financial technology solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Finance functions
• Experience operating within global organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree and/or relevant professional certifications.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, financial analytics platforms, and automation technologies.
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, workflow automation, and emerging digital capabilities within Finance.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $250,100 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
