We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Senior Global Product Manager to lead the global product strategy, commercialization, and lifecycle management for Hologic’s Molecular Instrumentation portfolio, with a primary focus on Panther Scalable Solutions and Tomcat instrument platforms. This role will drive long-term product vision, influence portfolio-level investment decisions, and lead complex cross-functional initiatives across global markets. The Senior Global Product Manager will serve as a key business leader, translating customer and market insights into differentiated product strategies that drive growth, adoption, and sustained competitive advantage. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in diagnostics and laboratory instrumentation and automation, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to lead through influence in a matrixed global organization.

  • Define and own the global product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Panther Scalable Solutions and Tomcat platforms
  • Drive alignment with senior leadership on strategic direction, key initiatives, and resource allocation
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and platform extensions to expand portfolio impact and drive diagnostic assay volumes
  • Serve as the business owner for instrumentation platforms, accountable for revenue growth, market share, and profitability

 

  • Own end-to-end lifecycle management across multiple instrument platforms, including new product introductions, sustaining, optimization, and end-of-life planning
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives to deliver next-generation instrumentation features, scalability solutions, and workflow enhancements
  • Develop deep understanding of global install base to drive upgrade plans, prepare for end-of-life components, and support diverse customer needs
  • Partner closely with Sr. Technical Product Manager and Software Engineering teams to support software improvements and enhancements
  • Ensure alignment between instrumentation platforms and broader molecular assay menu and workflow strategy
  • Lead advanced market research and competitive intelligence efforts to uncover unmet needs, emerging trends, and growth opportunities for molecular instrumentations
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, labs, and KOLs to inform product strategy and validate concepts
  • Translate insights into clear product requirements, differentiated positioning, and value propositions
  • Develop and drive global commercialization strategies, including launch planning, pricing, positioning, and market access
  • Build robust business cases and financial models to support investment decisions and new product development
  • Drive instrument forecast and allocation, acting as primary conduit between commercial teams to demand planning and supply teams
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including revenue, adoption, utilization, and customer satisfaction
  • Lead initiatives to optimize product performance and commercial outcomes across regions
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams across R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Service, Finance, and Commercial organizations
  • Act as a senior voice of the customer and product champion within the organization
  • Drive alignment across global and regional teams to ensure successful product execution and market adoption
  • Mentor and support junior product managers as appropriate

Requirements

  • Travel requirements: On average, up to 25% travel time. Ability to attend on-site, corporate, and field-based meetings as needed.

The total compensation range for this role is $133,300 - $208,400. This is based on a base salary and commission plan combination. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, territory/ geography, education, business needs, market demand and performance versus quota.

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or related roles within diagnostics, life sciences, or medical technology
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex instrumentation platforms or integrated laboratory systems with global scope 
  • Proven track record of owning product strategy and lifecycle management, including successful product launches and commercialization
  • Strong experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without authority in a matrixed organization
  • Experience developing business cases, financial models, and growth strategies
  • Familiarity with molecular diagnostics, automation, and laboratory workflows strongly preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking and portfolio-level decision-making capability
  • Advanced analytical and business acumen
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for innovation in healthcare technology
