Doeren Mayhew is seeking a Seasonal Tax Scanner to support the Domestic Tax department in our Grand Rapids, MI office for the 2027 tax season beginning in January 2027.
Hours will start around 20-30 per week and gradually increase to 40-45 hours per week as deadlines approach. Saturdays will be required as workload increases.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Receive, sort, and organize incoming tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, receipts, statements, etc.).
- →Operate high-volume scanners and document management software to digitize tax documents.
- →Upload files to the appropriate client folder or tax software (e.g., CCH, Thomson Reuters, UltraTax).
- →Communicate with administrative staff or tax professionals to clarify document needs.
- →Other ad hoc administrative duties as needed.
Requirements

- Ability to work in the office Monday through Friday, including some Saturdays as workload increases
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Adobe
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic accounting knowledge preferred
