Status: Full-Time Exempt
Salary Range: $71,000-$81,000, depending on experience and location
Location: Hybrid - Oakland, CA or Washington, D.C or any Dream.Org priority state - including AZ, KY, NC, NM, NY, PA, or WI.

Purpose Of The Position:
The Leadership Organizer is responsible for identifying, recruiting, developing, and activating leaders across Dream.Org's Justice, Green For All, and Tech initiatives. This role serves as the connective tissue between membership, leadership development, and organizing campaigns, helping build a strong pipeline of leaders who can advance Dream.Org's mission nationwide
Note: This is a 1-Year funded position with continued employment contingent on funding
Minimum Job Requirements:
- 2-5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in organizing, advocacy, movement building, public policy, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and manage volunteers across multiple functions or geographic locations.
- Experience developing leaders, building networks, and fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management, strategic planning, and operational leadership skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and Dream.Org’s mission and values.
Preferred Education/Skills/Experience:
- Experience leading national or multi-state organizing, advocacy, or movement-building initiatives.
- Demonstrated success managing complex partnerships with community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of criminal justice reform, climate and Tech, or related issue areas.
- Experience working in distributed, remote, or hybrid organizational environments.
- Strong facilitation, coalition-building, and leadership development expertise.
- Lived experience or deep connection to the communities most impacted by the issues Dream.Org addresses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit and identify emerging leaders across Justice, Green for All, and Tech.
- Develop leaders through mentoring, relationship-building, training, and leadership development opportunities.
- Activate leaders around campaigns, workforce initiatives, advocacy efforts, and community engagement opportunities.
- Build and strengthen Dream.Org's leadership pipeline by moving members from initial engagement to sustained leadership and action.

Employee Benefits
All full-time employees receive Medical, Dental & Vision coverage. Dream.Org pays 100% of premiums for employee, spouse and dependents. Part-time employees receive 50% coverage. After a 6 month waiting period, employees can contribute to our retirement plan. Currently, Dream.Org offers up to a 5% match. We also offer a flexible spending, pre-tax program for medical expenses, dependent care expenses, transit expenses and parking expenses. All full-time Dream.Org employees accrue 4 weeks of vacation time off and 12 days of sick time off over the first year of employment. Part-time employees accrue time off on a prorated basis. In addition to 10 paid holidays, Dream.Org also provides paid time off from December 24th through January 1st each year.
