Senior Manager of Supply Chain

While upholding Easton's core values and policies, the Senior Manager of Supply Chain leads day-to-day purchasing, sourcing, demand planning, supply planning, production planning, inventory control, logistics, and warehousing.  Regular and reliable on-site presence is required to provide effective leadership and oversight of these functions and support Easton's manufacturing operations.  This leader operates with substantial independence and owns key KPIs, including service level, late orders, inventory levels, supplier performance, purchase price variance, cost savings, and lead time, across thousands of SKUs.

The right candidate who enjoys running the business, solving operational problems, and improving results, not simply managing people. The Senior Manager sets strategy and priorities and leads the buyers, planners, Sourcing Manager, and Warehouse Manager. The Sourcing Manager executes tactical sourcing, while the Senior Manager sets direction, approves significant supplier decisions and commitments, and ensures the sourcing function achieves its objectives.  

The Senior Manager drives transformation by reducing costs and slow-moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB), shortening manufacturing lead times, and building the planning systems and policies Easton needs for the future. As Easton implements its new Acumatica enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, this leader defines the supply-chain framework, challenges outdated practices, and applies AI, automation, and analytics to improve decisions. Easton expects this leader to redesign systems, policies, and workflows when existing methods cannot support the business.

• →Set supply-chain strategy and priorities with substantial independence.
• →Own and improve key KPIs, including service level, late orders, inventory levels, supplier performance, purchase price variance, cost savings, and lead time.
• →Integrate demand forecasts, material availability, inventory, and production capacity into one executable plan.
• →Define the supply-chain framework for Easton's Acumatica ERP system with the implementation team.
• →Challenge outdated practices and replace systems, policies, or workflows when the business needs a better approach.
• →Use AI, automation, and analytics to redesign planning and decision processes, not simply automate existing work.
• →Validate AI- and technology-enabled recommendations with reliable data, operational judgment, and measurable results.
• →Build scalable processes for planning, inventory, purchasing, sourcing, logistics, and warehousing.
• →Lead the Supply Chain workstream through ERP requirements, testing, training, launch, and stabilization.
• →Identify and resolve material, supplier, capacity, delivery, and inventory risks before they affect customers or operations.
• →Lead, coach, and develop the buyers, planners, Sourcing Manager, and Warehouse Manager.
• →Exercise signing and approval authority within delegated company limits.
• →Define sourcing direction and approve significant supplier commitments.
• →Drive cost reduction and tightly manage purchase price variance.
• →Minimize late orders without relying on excessive inventory.
• →Use Lean methods to shorten manufacturing and supply-chain lead times.
• →Reduce SLOB and prepare reserve recommendations for Finance.

• Bring 8–10 years of progressive supply-chain experience in manufacturing.
• Demonstrate expertise in demand, supply, and production planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate success leading managers and functional specialists while maintaining strategic direction and accountability in a complex supply chain.
• Enjoy running the business, solving operational problems, and improving results, not simply managing people.
• Challenge long-standing practices and redesign systems when the business needs a different approach.
• Bring manufacturing ERP/MRP experience and strong change leadership.
• Align forecasts, material availability, inventory, and production capacity into an executable plan.
• Bring 5+ years of management or leadership experience.
• Bring exceptional attention to detail, urgency, and independent judgment.
• Hold a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent relevant experience.

• Bring working knowledge of the Acumatica ERP system.
• Apply experience with AI, automation, or analytics to planning.
• Hold an APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP, ISM certification, or another relevant supply-chain credential.
• Bring Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training or certification.
• Bring bowhunting or target archery experience, which Easton highly values but does not require.
