Field Catalyst - North America

Position Summary:

The Field Catalyst will find, engage, and lead non-believers to faith in North America. They will actively disciple new believers, equipping them to share the gospel. The catalyst will engage in contextualized effective church planting, training and evangelism efforts as directed by the Supervisor. This role is responsible for consistent communication with their supervisor to provide ministry assessment and other information as requested.

This is a fully support-raised position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work among unreached and/or unengaged peoples and/or places to evangelize, disciple, and plant churches which result in movement
• Study the target ministry group language and participate in on-the-job training focusing on movement skills
• Meet organizational and team responsibilities
• Attend team meetings and functions, promote East-West, maintain one-on-one periodic meetings and evaluations with the Team Leader, maintaining a calendar
• Lead, attend, and/or contribute to East-West sponsored spiritual formation activities and perform other duties as assigned
• Develop and maintain a network of personal support

Qualifications

• Ability to raise personal support as well as develop and manage personal ministry budget
• Ability to learn languages, preferred
• Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
• High commitment to, and practices, regular prayer and time in the Word
• Faithful member of a local church
• Experienced in sharing his/her faith with a clear, concise gospel message
• Experienced in effectively discipling new followers of Jesus, preferred
• BA degree preferred
• Trained biblically and theologically
• Experienced in cross-cultural ministry, preferred
• A willingness to engage other cultures
• Willingness to challenge fears, paradigms, and ministry methods.
• Ability to promote obedience to Christ and multiplication
• Able to function in a team environment
