The Communications Consultant will lead employee communication initiatives within EPIC’s national Communication & Engagement (C&E) practice. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic, multi-channel communication campaigns that support clients’ employee engagement and benefits education goals.
This is a highly consultative position that partners closely with internal teams and clients, directly impacting the success of EPIC’s Employee Benefits practice and long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Serve as a strategic consultant for employee-facing benefits communications, from initial concept through execution
- →Partner with C&E colleagues, EPIC account teams, and clients to develop communication strategies, content, and campaign plans
- →Create clear, compelling, and engaging communications across multiple channels, including digital, print, and in-person formats
- →Translate complex benefits information into easy-to-understand messaging that drives employee action and engagement
- →Ensure all content meets high editorial standards and is optimized for both audience and delivery channel
- →Manage multiple projects simultaneously, establishing priorities and workflows to ensure timely, accurate delivery
- →Collaborate with and oversee third-party vendors supporting print, digital, and online communication initiatives
- →Play a key role in building, maintaining, and managing content libraries and communication assets
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–8 years of experience in communications, with a strong preference for employee benefits or healthcare industry experience
- Experience working in a client-facing or consultative environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong storytelling ability with a talent for simplifying complex information
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Flexible, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Experience developing compelling content; benefits-related content is a plus
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating across teams
COMPENSATION:
The national average salary for this role is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
