Who are we?

EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe's largest network for transport innovation in cities.

Our mission is to accelerate change towards a sustainable model of urban mobility and liveable urban spaces. We connect public and private actors and provide them with access to markets, talent, finance and knowledge.

Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners we demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.

About EIT Urban Mobility Academy

Our EIT Urban Mobility Academy is a collaborative arena for lifelong learning, helping to build critical capabilities for innovation and transformation. We are training the next generation of urban mobility practitioners, needed by the urban mobility ecosystem of the future.

Within the Academy, the Professional Education team oversees two main strategic portfolios: Urban Mobility Explained (UMX) and our pan-European cross-KIC (Knowledge and Innovation Community) initiatives.

Our Professional School, UMX, offers a variety of training programmes and experiences on hot topics in urban mobility for professionals and organisations across Europe, operating as dedicated sub-brand within EIT Urban Mobility.

The Entrepreneurship and Education Skills (EntrEduSkills) Cluster is a flagship cross-KIC collaboration scheme aiming to integrate educational activities across multiple KICs, creating joint offerings that align with current labour market needs and European Union strategic priorities. Within this cluster, we drive (amongst others) the following initiatives:

  • The EIT STEM Tech Talent Induction, scaling talent development and stakeholder engagement.
  • The EIT Campus, a unified platform for B2C learners, B2B/B2G partners, and the wider EIT ecosystem.

Be part of a team where:

The Communications and Marketing Lead will report directly to the Learner Acquisition Manager within the Professional Education Team working, closely and collaboratively with the Junior Communications and Marketing Officer as well as external cross-KIC Managers.

While your primary mandate and core focus will be acting as the communications and marketing lead for the EntrEduSkills Cluster (specifically the EIT STEM and EIT Campus initiatives), in addition, you will support UMX’s marketing and communications activities.

This is a high-impact, visible role responsible for strengthening the profile and reach of EIT Urban Mobility and cross-KIC initiatives across Europe. You will drive learner acquisition and course enrolments, support ecosystem growth, and ensure all communications and marketing activities meet EIT and European Commission reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Campaign Design & Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of integrated communication and marketing strategies for EIT STEM and EIT Campus. Deliver a consistent multi-channel approach across all marketing and communications activities, including organic and paid media, social media, PR, events, email marketing, content marketing and SEO. Drive community growth and engagement while maintaining full alignment with overarching policy and strategic objectives.
o For EIT STEM, drive high political visibility and scale talent development through stakeholder engagement, integrating the diverse needs and contributions of education providers, enterprises, institutional partners, final users (learners), and the EIT/European Commission.
o For EIT Campus, ensure growth, engagement, and course uptake across the ecosystem, target B2C learners, potential B2B and B2G partners, the wider KIC network, and the EIT/European Commission.
o For UMX, support the Learner Acquisition manager in delivering marketing activities that enhance brand awareness, drive learner acquisition and increase course enrolments.

  • Agency Management & Internal Coordination: Lead and manage external marketing agencies in delivering high-performing campaigns, content development and SEO optimisation in accordance with contractual requirements, budgets, timelines and organisation KPIs. Liaise with EIT Urban Mobility’s corporate functions (Legal, IT, Finance, PMO) to ensure the compliant setup, deployment, and management of agency contracts and organisational processes.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Ecosystem Alignment: Act as the bridge between EIT Comms, the EntrEduSkills Marketing teams, EIT Urban Mobility Central Comms and wider KIC stakeholders. Ensure the positioning and active participation of our initiatives in joint communication actions and high-profile events (e.g., EIT Education and Skills Days, Women in Tech Summit, Slush, etc.). Ensure all visual and communication assets strictly align with EIT Community and EC brand requirements.

  • Performance Monitoring & EU Reporting: In coordination with the Work Package Leads, support the monitoring and reporting of assigned tasks. Evaluate dissemination operations and marketing campaign performance against defined KPIs, tracking metrics monthly to inform audience targeting and media investment decisions. Coordinate, develop, and ensure the timely submission and quality assurance of all project deliverables, outputs, and annual accountability reports, managing review processes across the work packages.
