About the role
The Vice Head of Middle School is part of the senior leadership team and supports the Head of School by strengthening academic programmes, student behaviour systems, pastoral care, and social integration across the middle school division. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate middle school academic and student support programmes that promote positive social integration in and out of the classroom
- Coach teachers and Teaching Fellows on adolescent development and effective classroom practice
- Establish and refine procedures for serious or high-risk behaviour incidents
- Support students' social and emotional development and help shape a consistent, achievement-focused school culture
- Oversee school routines and code of conduct implementation across classrooms and shared spaces such as breaks, lunch, hallways, and before and after school supervision
- Partner with parents to align expectations and address student needs, including supporting teacher-parent communication when needed
- Maintain behaviour and discipline records and ensure follow-through across the division
- Coordinate academic and behavioural support with relevant school leaders in student affairs and academic programmes
- Monitor student arrival and dismissal to ensure safe, orderly daily operations
Requirements

- Master's degree required
- 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in a middle school or secondary setting
- Proven administrative capability and experience managing school operations
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
