WORK SCHEDULE: Part-Time, In Office – King William, Virginia. Weekly hours and the regular office schedule will be established before hire. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for Board meetings, community outreach, fundraising activities, donor meetings, events, and other authorized organizational responsibilities.
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Board of Directors for organizational direction and performance priorities, with administrative and employment coordination through designated Enterprise Management Solutions, LLC leadership.
ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Providing executive leadership; strengthening grassroots and community engagement; developing and implementing fundraising strategies; identifying and pursuing grant opportunities; cultivating donors and community partners; advancing authorized capital projects; coordinating organizational operations; implementing Board-approved priorities; maintaining appropriate financial and administrative controls; and providing comprehensive weekly reports to the Board.
CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time W-2 Employee | FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
COMPENSATION RANGE: Negotiable based on education, experience, demonstrated fundraising and grant-development results, and overall qualifications.
ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: Local and regional travel may be required for community outreach, donor meetings, fundraising activities, Board-authorized meetings, site visits, and organizational events.
SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Executive Director provides hands-on leadership for a community-serving organization in King William, Virginia. The role focuses on community engagement, fundraising, grant development, daily operations, and Board-approved organizational and capital initiatives.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director turns organizational priorities into measurable results while demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, strong communication, relationship-building, accountability, and consistent follow-through.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, FUNDRAISING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Build relationships with residents, community leaders, businesses, civic groups, institutions, donors, and prospective supporters.

ORGANIZATIONAL, BOARD AND FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
- Implement Board-approved priorities and coordinate programs, committees, volunteers, personnel, and operational activities.
- Develop work plans, timelines, priorities, and accountability measures while maintaining organized operational and financial records.
- Support budget development, monitor authorized spending, grant restrictions, and available resources, and coordinate with authorized finance and administrative personnel.
- Provide weekly Board reports covering accomplishments, priorities, fundraising, grants, community engagement, capital projects, financial or operational concerns, and matters requiring action.
- Support Board meetings, complete required follow-up, identify operational barriers, and recommend solutions.
- Follow established authorization procedures for contracts, expenditures, funding commitments, and public representations.
- Do not make unauthorized financial or contractual commitments on behalf of Enterprise or the assigned organization.
- Promptly escalate significant financial, operational, legal, reputational, safety, or governance concerns.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND INFORMATION HANDLING
- Protect confidential financial, donor, Board, personnel, contractual, strategic, and organizational information.
- Access and disclose confidential information only as authorized.
- Secure physical and electronic records, passwords, financial information, and system access.

TRAINING AND EDUCATION RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in required orientation, training, and professional development related to Board governance, financial controls, fundraising, grant compliance, confidentiality, records management, workplace safety, community engagement, and applicable Company policies.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Community Development, Organizational Leadership, Divinity, Theology, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience in nonprofit leadership, grassroots organizing, fundraising, community development, or a comparable leadership role.
- Successful experience preparing grant applications and securing charitable, institutional, public, foundation, corporate, or similar funding.
- Ability to develop project budgets and manage funding, application, and reporting deadlines.
- Strong writing, public speaking, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to the Board and Enterprise Management Solutions, LLC.
- Ability to maintain the required in-office schedule in King William, Virginia and attend occasional evening or weekend events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in a relevant field, such as Ph.D., Ed.D., DBA, DPA, or D.Min.
- Experience leading capital campaigns or securing funding for facility acquisition, renovation, construction, or expansion.
- Established relationships with Virginia funders, donors, businesses, foundations, or community organizations.
- Experience supporting a Board of Directors and implementing Board-approved initiatives.
- Experience with grassroots, rural, volunteer-led, nonprofit, community-serving, or faith-based organizations.
- Demonstrated success meeting fundraising or grant-development goals.
