Control Room Technical Specialist

EnergyUnited is looking for a Control Room Technical Specialist to serve as a technical expert within our control room environment. This role combines technology, electric system operations, troubleshooting, and real-time problem solving to support the systems our operators rely on every day.

  Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for control room systems and provide technical support to Control Room Operators. 

• →

  Partner with the Control Room Supervisor to develop and provide system training. 

• →

  Maintain the accuracy and integrity of OMS, SCADA, ADMS, and related systems. 

• →

  Monitor SCADA alarms, abnormal conditions, system data, crew listings, and system connectivity. 

• →

  Monitor and operate ADMS and SCADA systems and troubleshoot issues as needed. 

• →

  Review switching orders and recommendations generated by SCADA/ADMS and work with Engineering and Grid Modernization to ensure accuracy. 

• →

  Monitor the Dynamic Voltage Regulation system and assist with system optimization. 

• →

  Support SCADA and ADMS testing, reporting, system modifications, and technology upgrades. 

• →

  Partner with IT, GIS, Engineering, Grid Modernization, and Technical Services on system issues and improvements. 

• →

  Support emergency restoration efforts during major outages and storms.
