Material Handling I, Receiving

The Role:

Perform tasks related directly to the receipt, warehousing, control, packaging and issue/shipment of manufactured products and vendor acquired material and supplies. 

Material Handler, Reclamation

• Picking up pieces of graphite (not large billets), measuring them, and weighing them
• Repetitive lifting and reading a ruler and a scale 

• Documentation of measurements, will record information on a form

• Move graphite into and out of manufacturing cells as required

• Follow instructions on production orders to ensure graphite is move through the proper process 

• May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties

• Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization

• Understands, supports, and complies with ISO Policy, Procedure and Work Instructions, complies with all safety requirements, and maintains order and cleanliness of Warehouse premises.

• Maintains a clean and safe work area and wears required personal protective equipment

• Performs duties in a safe manner, observes approved safety procedures, and communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor or EHS.

Material Handler, Reclamation Level 3 and up 

• Issue material to production orders through SAP transactions

• Determine material to be issued to the production order

• Certify material as required

• Repetitive lifting and reading a ruler and a scale  

• Documentation of material specs, will record information on a form

• Responsible for cycle counts of semi-finished goods bins at warehouse as required 

• Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization

• Understands, supports, and complies with ISO Policy, Procedure and Work Instructions, complies with all safety requirements, and maintains order and cleanliness of Warehouse premises.

• Maintains a clean and safe work area and wears required personal protective equipment

• Performs duties in a safe manner, observes approved safety procedures, and communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor or EHS.

Receiving 

• Maintaining count of inventory of goods;

• Receive goods in from vendor and purchase parts 

• Act as internal logistics to move products and material around the plant

• Receive and process direct and indirect raw materials and make appropriate SAP transactions

• Process return Materials (RMA) through SAP transactions

• Distribute finished goods as appropriate

• Responsible for cycle counts of finished goods bins, blocked stock, and bins at warehouse as required 

• Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization

• Understands, supports, and complies with ISO Policy, Procedure and Work Instructions, complies with all safety requirements, and maintains order and cleanliness of Warehouse premises.

• Maintains a clean and safe work area and wears required personal protective equipment

• Performs duties in a safe manner, observes approved safety procedures, and communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor or EHS.

Material Handler, Inventory 

• Ability to operate forklift and turret truck

• Receive qualified material into warehouse and process through SAP transaction

• Issue material to production orders

• Act as internal logistics to move products and material around the plant

• Responsible for cycle counts of finished goods bins at warehouse as required 

• Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization

• Understands, supports, and complies with ISO Policy, Procedure and Work Instructions, complies with all safety requirements, and maintains order and cleanliness of Warehouse premises.

• Maintains a clean and safe work area and wears required personal protective equipment

• Performs duties in a safe manner, observes approved safety procedures, and communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor or EHS.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent;

• Able to read and write the English language

• Consistent high standards of housekeeping and strict adherence to quality standards for both product and services;

• Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality;

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment;

• Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);

• Able to safely lift 50 pounds;

• Ability to pass pre-employment physical; 

• Personal experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus;

• Dependability with flexibility to work shifts, over-time, and weekends to support business needs. 

• Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws
