Summary: We are looking for an experienced HSQE Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental framework across the UK and Ireland. This is a high-impact leadership role that will play a critical part in supporting the rollout of Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) as part of national Deposit Return Schemes. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will establish robust HSQE systems, drive compliance, support operational excellence, and help build a strong safety and quality culture across a growing organization.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a company-wide HSQE management framework across all UK and Ireland operations.
Lead health and safety governance, ensuring compliance with UK and Irish legislation, policies, and safe systems of work.
Manage risk assessments, RAMS, incident investigations, and corrective action programmes.
Establish and maintain quality management systems covering installation, service delivery, customer handover, and operational performance.
Drive environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives aligned with business objectives and ESG commitments.
Conduct audits, inspections, and assurance activities across field operations, service teams, logistics partners, and contractors.
Lead the development and implementation of ISO-aligned management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Develop HSQE reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and governance processes to support business decision-making.
Partner with operational leaders to embed HSQE best practices across projects, installations, service, and logistics activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive a proactive safety, quality, and compliance culture throughout the organisation.
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 Health & Safety qualification) with strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
Proven experience in a senior HSQE, HSE, or SHEQ leadership role within engineering, field service, logistics, construction, manufacturing, or similar environments.
Demonstrated success implementing and managing health and safety management systems across multi-site operations.
Experience developing, maintaining, or auditing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
Strong background in risk management, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and compliance assurance.
Experience managing contractors, third-party partners, and field-based operational activities.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
