About the Role
~1 min readThe Wood Procurement Intern at Enviva will support the Wood Procurement team during the summer of 2026. This internship is designed for students majoring in Forestry, providing hands-on experience in wood procurement processes, including purchasing fiber to support pellet production and integration of fiber into the pellet production process. The intern will work closely with a mentor to develop skills in communication, problem-solving, and project management while participating in various intern activities, field visits, and plant/site operations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Work alongside assigned mentor to grow and learn in the Wood Procurement field
- →Complete assessment of specified fiber procurement project area (fiber reception or chipping capacity)
- →Engage with Fiber team members and Operations to understand
- →Effectively communicate with cross-functional team and stakeholder
- →Participate in intern activities, volunteer opportunities, and field trips, as scheduled
- →Provide recommendations and tangible actions that will be most financially beneficial fiber to Enviva’s/Plant’s respective overall P&L
Requirements
~1 min read- Must be a rising junior or senior majoring in Forestry
- Good communicator in both written and verbal formats, with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
- Self-sufficient, results-driven, and quick learner with keen attention to detail
- Good analytic and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
