About the Institute for Nonprofit Practice
The Institute for Nonprofit Practice (INP) works to ensure that the nation’s nonprofit, public sector, and social impact leaders have the skills, knowledge, networks, and confidence to boldly advance their organizations and missions and build a more equitable future for all.
INP serves social impact leaders who are driving solutions to some of the most pressing issues of our time. Nonprofits constitute the third-largest sector of the U.S. workforce – nearly 1 in 10 workers – yet the sector continues to face a chronic deficit of investment in the people who power it. The types of peer-to-peer learning and exchanges that INP offers are needed more than ever as the sector wrestles with a set of challenges that have mounted over the past few years – including workforce shortages, high burnout and turnover rates, and a rising demand for services – that can significantly undermine organizational effectiveness. With an 19-year track record of delivering programs that measurably increase leaders’ key leadership skills, confidence, and networks, INP is committed to meeting this moment by continuing to empower social impact leaders to adapt and thrive amidst these obstacles.
About the Role - Associate Director of Admissions
The Associate Director of Admissions builds the partnerships and pipelines that bring exceptional social-sector leaders into the Institute for Nonprofit Practice (INP). Reporting to the Director of Program Admissions & Impact, you will manage an assigned portfolio of regional and national recruitment partnerships, connecting mission-driven professionals to fully funded, transformative leadership development programs.
This is a frontline, relationship-driven role. You will spend up to 60% of your time engaging external partners, leading info sessions, and guiding prospective fellows through the admissions process. You balance that external focus with operational rigor—maintaining clean records in Salesforce, following established stewardship workflows, and keeping pipeline reporting accurate. You will serve as a key ambassador for INP, translating community relationships and pipeline data into full, diverse cohorts across our programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
