Position Description

The role of the Safety Coordinator is to contribute to a safe, supportive, and caring school community especially through the supervision of students during meals, dismissal, and transitions. Additionally, this role supports serving meals, parent communications, valet (student pick-up) and traffic supervision during After School hours.

Hours

2:00pm-6:00pm, Monday - Friday

Supervise students during meals, dismissal, and transitions and ensure that they are exhibiting behaviors consistent with Equitas values.

Supervise valet (student drop off/pick-up).

Maintain a safe and structured parking and valet system.

Assist families and guests with alternative parking solutions.

Maintain high expectations for student behavior.

Actively participate in professional development aimed at refining school culture.

Support in the school office with administrative tasks.

Follow policies and procedures for health, safety, and nutrition.

Maintain open lines of communication with staff, families, and other stakeholders.

Assist School Operations Manager and ELOP Manager with special projects.

Complete other tasks as assigned by the Principal, School Operations Manager or ELOP Manager.

Strong communication with scholars, staff and parents

Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of people

Customer service approach, strong work ethic, detail-driven work style with excellent organizational skills

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, delegate, and lead by example

Previous experience working with students preferred

Bilingual Spanish speaker required

High school diploma or equivalent required; BA or some college preferred

CPR Certification and First Aid Certificate required within 60 days of hire

Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate within 3 months of employment

Salary and benefits

Starting at $22/hour. This is a part-time, hourly position.
