(Senior) Product Design Engineer – Autonomous Greenhouse Robotics

eternal.ag develops autonomous robots that execute crop-work (such as harvesting) — to address the severe labor shortages in commercial greenhouses. Our vision is to enable existing & new greenhouses

to become fully automated, highly resource-efficient, sustainable food production sites that can be deployed anywhere on earth. This will enable local-for-local food production regardless of climate, while disconnecting the reliance on specialized knowledge for its operations and overcoming the shortage of labor for crop-work.

We are seeking a (Senior) Product Design Engineer to support with design, reviews, approvals, and advanced engineering development for autonomous robotic systems used in greenhouse environments. This is a critical engineering role focused on ensuring our next-generation agricultural robots are robust, reliable, user-centric, and ready for scale.

• →Design, review, validate, and approve engineering designs for greenhouse autonomous robots
• →Execute kinematic and motion analysis of linkages, joints, and robotic mechanisms for optimized performance
• →Ensure compliance with functional requirements, safety standards, and manufacturing constraints
• →Analyze field issues, customer feedback, and failure modes to identify risks and initiate design improvements

• →Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, field engineers, and customers to define requirements and develop prototypes
• →Incorporate user experience insights and quality specifications into design iterations
• →Review and approve engineering change requests (ECR/ECN)

• 3 to 5 years of experience as Design & CAD Engineer within the discrete products industry
• Should have hands-on experience in SOLID WORKS or similar tool - Engineering, Parametric CAD Modeling, GD&T and Assembly modeling
• Be able to conduct tolerance and stack up analysis, clash/collision analysis and mechanism simulation & analysis
• Should have have experience in CAD quality inspection, Change management and CAD data management in a PLM environment.
• Should have good communication and interpersonal skills to work with international suppliers and customers
