This full-time role pays $21–$24/hour and offers 10-hour day/swing shifts, with weekends as needed. Join a 24/7 veterinary hospital where you'll combine exceptional client service with emergency communication and coordination of specialty care for birds, reptiles, small mammals, and other exotic pets.

  • Review daily appointment schedules and update client and patient information as needed.

  • Coordinate messages between clients, veterinarians, technicians, and other hospital team members.

  • Perform client and patient callbacks and assist with appointment reminders and overdue wellness outreach.

  • Process prescription requests and follow established protocols for outside pharmacy requests.

  • Educate clients about available hospital services, wellness plans, products, and prescription recommendations.

  • Process payments, collect fees, make change, authorize credit transactions, and reconcile the cash drawer as assigned.

  • Assist clients with over-the-counter food, toys, and other pet products by providing knowledgeable and appropriate recommendations.

  • Prepare referral, welcome, thank-you, and condolence correspondence for clients.

  • Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and waiting area, including restocking supplies and client education materials.

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide clients with basic instructions for safely transporting an animal to the hospital.
