Managing Datacentres, Cores and BSCs, Telecom fault handling and preventive maintenance, Facilitate NOC requirements in field operation regarding change implementation, and responsible for work distribution for Etisalat handlers and managed service teams (E/// and Huawei telecom teams)

Managing Operation and maintenance for all the electromechanical systems in Datacenters, Coresite and BSCs and responsible for work distribution for Etisalat handlers and managed service teams (E/// and Huawei Electromechanical teams)

Managing Power systems operation and maintenance for Etisalat buildings

Day to Day Actions:

Manage, Control and follow up on field faults and Change request actions for Datacentres, Cores, BSCs and buildings.

Manage and Control Managed Services team.

Data Center capacity planning and reporting

Assist in the design and build out of new facilities

Work with technical, IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety

Purchasing sparparts, consumables and all the needed requirements for smooth operations

Preventive Maintenance:

Manage Developing PM Plan for Telecom and Environmental equipment’s for Datacentres, cores and BSCs.

Manage and Follow up and Audit on the PM Plan execution.

Manage Developing PM Plan for Electromechanical equipment’s for Datacentres, cores, BSCs and buildings

Acceptance Activities:

Acceptance activities for Telecom and Environmental Electromechanical expansions or new Nodes or new Datacentres, Cores and BSCs.

Enhancement Actions:

Develop Enhancement field projects for Datacentres, Cores and BSCs.

Audit and quality control Activities:

Manage Audit plans and quality control and manage designing recovery plan

Deliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are met

Reports:

Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance

Follow up on updating Datacentres, Cores and BSCs foot print, ODF and Patch Panels mapping sheets, Services and connectivity database, Data and fiber trays layouts and services per node.

Receive all weekly utilization report for review and audit.

Coaching, developing people and Recruiting

Conduct monthly coaching sessions for continues feedback on performance

Raising technical knowledge by Conduct technical sessions and trainings.

Manage recruiting interviews for new staff for etisalat and managed service teams

Requirements

University Degree in Communications or Power Engineering (good and above)

Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout (copper / fibre) as well as low / high voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling, BMS Systems, Monitoring and alarming systems

In depth knowledge of Data Center Facilities such as generators, chillers, DX systems, cooling towers, air handling units, UPS and DC systems, electrical sub distribution systems, fire detection and suppression systems, cable reticulation systems

In depth knowledge of Data Center capacity planning and reporting

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong leadership and organizational skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment

Respond to out of hours emergency calls – second level escalation point for Data Center facilities related issues / failures

Very good computer skills.

Very good knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point.

Excellent in Arabic & English, reading, writing, & oral.

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work under stress

5+ years of Data Center Engineering Experience
