We are seeking a skilled M&P Engineer to join our client's proactive and innovative team.
The role is to provide Materials & Processes support, solutions and information to meet customer or project requirements. This is achieved by a combination of relevant Materials and Processes experience combined with the interpersonal skills necessary to co-ordinate with other departments and organisations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Performs both simple and complex Materials & Processes assessment tasks to prescribed methods using provided toolset.
- →Works with minimum guidance from more senior engineers.
- →Checks the work of other Materials & Processes engineering staff in line with Customer, Regulatory and company requirements.
- →Identifies and implements areas of process improvement within the Materials & Processes Engineering discipline.
- →Works closely with other discipline engineers to achieve common Programme goals.
- →Produces and checks FPQ Requests, Plans, Reports, Technical Memos, Concession responses, etc. prior to approval by more senior engineers.
- →Leads simple activities and delivers outputs to appropriate Quality and timescales.
Requirements
~1 min readDegree or equivalent in a relevant subject or a technical/craft apprenticeship in an aerostructures environment.
- A thorough understanding of general theories and applications covering a broad knowledge of Material & Process Engineering is required.
- A broad knowledge of airframe engineering, manufacturing, projects/programme management.
- Proficient in relevant IT applications and software packages.
- Working knowledge and understanding of general procedures and standards relating to Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.
- Experience in applying discipline knowledge.
