About This Role
Annaly is seeking a talented Analyst or Associate with strong analytical and modeling skills to be a member of the Residential Credit group.

The Residential Credit Analyst/Associate will be responsible for helping to analyze and opine on residential credit investments (whole loans) and help to facilitate proactive asset management. The candidate will also be responsible for producing granular surveillance/reporting on portfolio performance and helping to facilitate aspects of whole loan transaction management.

The candidate should have the necessary skills or attributes to work in a dynamic, fast paced group. The candidate will be asked to propose new trade ideas/investments and contribute/improve to the modeling/infrastructure development of both our security and whole loan platforms. The analyst will also be required to track and monitor market developments, residential securitizations and macro trends with the housing market.

Essential Responsibilities     
  • Analyze residential credit investments (whole loans) and opine on relative value
  • Assist with the pricing and execution of residential loan trades
  • Produce detailed portfolio reporting and contribute to the enhancement of our modeling/infrastructure
  • Ad hoc projects requested by Senior Management of the Firm

 

Requirements

 Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Fixed Income/Mortgage experience preferred
  • Familiarity with underwriting guidelines a plus  
  • Background is securitization or loan trading preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced financial services organization
Desired Characteristics:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and prioritize accordingly
  • Proficient with entire Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Intex and Bloomberg preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with Senior Management regarding the progress and results of projects and initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY, role is based in NYC
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to work additional hours as needed to complete deadline driven projects
