Dietitian Nutritionist

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Dietitian Nutritionist to support the Inpatient Medical Nutrition Department at Methodist Hospital Southlake in Merrillville, IN. This position offers a great opportunity to grow and enhance your clinical skills by working with a variety of inpatient populations.  New graduates and experienced dietitians are encouraged to apply!

Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal

• →Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
• →Practice at your full scope with order writing privileges

• →Educate healthcare team member, including physicians and nurses
• →Precept dietetic interns

• Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in Indiana (or eligible)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player
• Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
