The Senior Community Talent Specialist is responsible for proactively sourcing, engaging, and converting prospective candidates—primarily students—into Fabick Cat’s technical training programs. This is a high-impact, organization-wide role focused on developing the future technical talent pipeline and supporting long-term workforce needs across the business. Success requires a strong “hunter mentality,” exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to develop lasting partnerships with students, schools, community organizations, and internal stakeholders.
- Prospecting for & Engaging Talent: Proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with prospective talent through schools, community partnerships, networking events, social media, and other outreach channels. Build and maintain strong partnerships with high schools, technical schools, colleges, career centers, and community organizations to develop a pipeline of student and early-career talent. Lead and support Fabick Cat’s ThinkBIG program, coordinate classroom visits, career fairs, facility tours, and presentations, and maintain ongoing relationships with students throughout their education. Track upcoming graduating classes, share relevant career and training opportunities, and create ways for prospective candidates to stay connected with Fabick Cat over time.
- Sales and Conversion: Clearly and convincingly articulate the value proposition of Fabick’s employment offering. Employ communication pipelines to nurture leads, address objections, and convert prospects into applicants. Partner with the program team to ensure a seamless transition for interested candidates, document the roles and competencies required for success, and determine whether assessments are needed to better identify qualified candidates.
- Recruiting Events & Outreach: Own and maintain the recruiting and community outreach calendar, including identifying and coordinating career fairs, school events, hiring events, and other outreach opportunities. Manage event logistics, materials, and internal participation while tracking leads and ensure timely follow-up. Partner with Marketing to develop recruiting campaigns and materials, support digital and social media outreach, and strengthen Fabick Cat’s presence within schools and communities.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate outreach effectiveness. Provide regular reporting on recruitment activity, including insights and recommendations for optimization, and measure outcomes to ensure hires align with business needs. Provide insights and recommendations and continuously identify opportunities to improve outreach and candidate engagement.
- Recruiting: Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and target candidate profiles. Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and other channels, while providing recruiting ideas and market insights to support business hiring needs.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested by management.
- Experience networking and engaging within the community to identify and connect with prospective talent.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events, track details, and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record in a recruitment or sales role, preferably in education or a related field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong networking abilities with a proactive, self-driven approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other recruitment tools.
Partners closely with educational institutions, career centers, and community organizations to build candidate pipelines; collaborates with the Marketing team on targeted outreach; works with program teams to transition candidates into training; and coordinates with Human Resources leadership on hiring outcomes and workforce needs.
