Maintenance Tech - American Fan

Job Description   Job Title:  Maintenance Tech                                                        Date:  September 2026   Reports To:  Manufacturing Manager     Summary   As an Experienced Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of American Fan’s manufacturing processes by maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Optional HVAC experience is valued but not mandatory.   Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide daily hands-on working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support existing business processes for American Fan. Support and follow company safety programs and quality environmental programs. Coordinates equipment shutdown for major maintenance. Troubleshoots maintenance problems and determines when to call for outside repairs. Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and make necessary repairs on plant equipment. Follow prints, sketches, and schematics to assist in the installation of newer, rebuilt equipment. Assist in the tear down and overhaul of equipment components such as, but not limited to pumps, valves, regulators, and motors. Complete required reports and other documentation on assigned work and/or inspections. Exercise understanding of mechanical components and how they work in conjunction with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic. Adhere to standardized processes and procedures and maintain reports as required. Maintain highest ethical behavior while following American Fan procedures, policies, work instructions and safety guidelines. All other work deemed necessary by supervisor.   Qualifications and Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical maintenance preferred. 3 to 5 years in maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing facility Excellent working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Must be a self-starter who works with minimal supervision and is able to direct others. Ability to work at heights. Must have a good understanding of what is required to support the production function in a Manufacturing environment. Must be well-organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks.   Desirable Rotating and/or gas and air handling equipment experience. Experience with servicing highly engineered equipment and products.
