~2 min read- →Work collaboratively with agency personnel, the student’s parent/guardian, school team, and transportation company to provide consistent 1:1 student support during the afternoon bus run.
- →Arrive on time at the designated school/bus pick-up location and remain with the student throughout transportation and transition into the home.
- →Provide individualized behavioral and safety support throughout the bus ride in accordance with the student’s established Behavior Support Plan (BSP) and/or Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
- →Implement assigned behavior-support strategies, including data collection, progress reporting, and documentation, as directed by the supervising clinician.
- →Utilize CPI-trained prevention, de-escalation, and safety strategies when appropriate and in accordance with training, agency policy, and the student’s individualized plan.
- →Support safe and successful transitions, including boarding the bus, remaining safe during transportation, exiting the bus, and transitioning to the parent/guardian or designated caregiver.
- →Respond to the individualized goals, needs, and requests of the student and supervising team in a professional, respectful, and consistent manner.
- →Communicate relevant observations, behavioral concerns, transportation issues, or changes in student presentation to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
- →Maintain student confidentiality and protect personally identifiable information in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations and agency policies.
- →Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment throughout transportation and transition.
- →Understand, demonstrate, and uphold the Family of Kidz company core values in all interactions with students, families, transportation personnel, school staff, and colleagues.

- Minimum of 6 months working with children or adolescents with special needs in a supervised setting
- Minimum of High School Diploma required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education or related field preferred
- Experience with students with autism and/or maladaptive behaviors preferred
- Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
- Bilingual is a plus
