Who You Are
The Associate Motor Repair Technician is responsible for testing, analyzing, diagnosing, and remanufacturing motors to restore them to original performance standards, ensuring exceptional product quality and customer satisfaction at FANUC America Corporation. This role works closely with supervisors and experienced technicians to develop technical expertise in motor repair, troubleshooting, and FANUC products while supporting the daily operations of the Motor Repair team.

Responsibilities

  • →Test and analyze motors to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
  • →Remanufacture motors while learning FANUC products, developing technical troubleshooting skills while learning to operate as a Motor Repair Department team member
  • →Actively participate in structured on-the-job training with Supervisor and senior technicians to develop technical skills and product knowledge
  • →Maintain test equipment in good working condition by performing maintenance, inspections and reporting any issues as needed
  • →Complete repair estimates, remanufacturing tasks and all required documentation with accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
  • →Participate in annual physical inventory activities to ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of parts and materials
  • →Must be able to work standard business hours, with the flexibility to work overtime as business needs require
What You Need
  • →High school diploma or GED 
  • →
    At least six months of hands-on experience gained through education or professional machine shop, maintenance, manufacturing, or repair environment
  • →Experience troubleshooting, disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling mechanical or electrical equipment is a plus
  • →Ability to use of a wide range of equipment and tools, including motor controls, drives, hand tools, cleaning equipment, electrical test meters, drills and oscilloscopes
  • →Ability to work safely with industrial equipment and following established quality, maintenance, and operational procedures
  • →Ability to utilize testing and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot, analyze, and verify motor performance and repair quality
  • →Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to support motor repair, disassembly, remanufacturing, and reassembly tasks
  • →Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical problems in motors and associated systems
  • →
    Ability to safely lift, carry, and move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
  • →Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Word and Excel

What Would Be Even Better

  • →Technical trade school training or an associate degree in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical discipline 
  • →One year of electrical motor repair experience 
  • →Formal education, technical training, or hands-on experience demonstrating a foundational understanding of electrical theory, including electric motors, generator principles, and semiconductor fundamentals

FANUC America is seeking a qualified applicant for an Associate Motor Repair Technician role. The pay range for this position is $44,000 - $61,000 per year. The pay range listed is based on both salary and other compensation, including bonuses and profit sharing, that an employee may be paid during their employment with FANUC America. 

A compensation package offered to a successful applicant will ultimately be determined by consideration of a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an applicant’s geographic location, educational attainment, and level of experience.
