Responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of water treatment systems supporting a data center facility. This position will work with potable water, wastewater, and chemical treatment systems to ensure water quality, system reliability, and safe operation of facility water systems.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor potable water and wastewater treatment systems.
→
Perform routine water sampling, testing, and water quality checks.
→
Monitor and adjust chemical treatment and chemical dosing systems.
→
Monitor system readings, pressures, flow rates, levels, and other operating conditions.
→
Inspect pumps, valves, piping, filtration systems, tanks, and related water treatment equipment.
→
Identify abnormal operating conditions and assist with troubleshooting equipment or process issues.
→
Perform routine preventative maintenance on water treatment equipment.
→
Handle and store treatment chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures.
→
Maintain accurate operating logs, treatment records, chemical usage records, and inspection documentation.

Respond to alarms and system issues to help maintain continuous facility operations.
→
Follow all environmental, health, safety, and facility procedures.
→
Coordinate with maintenance, facilities, and operations personnel as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in potable water treatment, wastewater treatment, or industrial water treatment required.
Experience with chemical treatment processes and chemical dosing strongly preferred.
Knowledge of water treatment equipment such as pumps, valves, filters, tanks, piping, and chemical feed systems.
Ability to perform basic water quality testing and understand treatment parameters.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues.
Experience in a municipal water facility, wastewater facility, industrial plant, manufacturing facility, power generation facility, chemical facility, or similar environment is preferred.
Ability to work safely around water treatment chemicals and industrial equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain operating records.
