MRI SUPERVISOR-2851

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Supervisor provides clinical and operational leadership for the MRI department, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality imaging services. Oversees MRI technical and clerical staff, coordinates daily departmental operations and staffing, and provides clinical guidance, training, and competency evaluation. Ensures compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, infection prevention practices, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintains knowledge of current MRI technology and practices, supports equipment maintenance and service needs, and promotes a professional, collaborative, and patient-centered environment.

Education

Minimum:  AAS degree in Radiologic Technology from an approved 2 year program. 

Preferred:  Advanced degree and/or MRI Technology certificate.

License/Certification

License: NYS license as a Radiologic Technologist

Certifications: ARRT required, BLS required through RQI.

Preferred: Certification in specialty area

Experience

Minimum:   Three years advanced imaging (CT, MRI, NM or US) experience along with MRI training.

Preferred:.  CT or MRI supervisor experience.
