Sr. Manager, Engineering

As a Sr. Manager, Engineering, you'll start your day by connecting with your engineering team and technology and business leaders to understand priorities, remove obstacles, and keep critical initiatives moving forward. You'll lead the team responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting technology products and applications across the organization. As a player-coach, you'll combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, providing direction while staying close enough to the work to help solve complex challenges and guide the team toward the right solutions.

Throughout the day, you'll help define technical solutions, establish priorities, and ensure engineering initiatives are delivered within agreed timelines and available resources. You'll provide technical direction across architecture, development standards, quality, release management, and production support, while partnering with stakeholders to balance business needs with technical considerations. You'll also monitor progress, address risks, and help ensure the team delivers reliable, scalable solutions that meet the needs of the organization.

You'll also invest in the growth and development of your engineering team, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for team members to strengthen their technical and professional skills. You'll promote a culture of quality, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while looking for ways to make engineering processes and products better. Every day, your leadership will help bring together people, technology, and strategy to deliver impactful solutions and build a strong, high-performing engineering organization.

• →Work closely with 3rd party organizations to implement and manage software integrations based on business needs
• →Handle day-to-day technology issues related to existing programs
• →Develop code to meet provided technical requirements while adhering to determined software quality standards and secure coding requirements
• →Develop corresponding unit test plans and perform/document unit test
• →Process alignment with the SDLC and Change Management processes
• →Lead the engineering team delivering supporting technology products and applications
• →Partner with business and IT leaders to identify technology opportunities, define produce outcomes, and establish delivery priorities
• →Manager engineering initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, release, and support
• →Provide technical direction across product engineering, application integration, production support, and engineering standards
• →Translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable engineering plans
• →Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational goals
• →Partner with Quality Assurance to incorporate quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle
• →Apply artificial intelligence tools and technologies to improve software development, testing, documentation, automation, troubleshooting, and engineering operations
• →Establish responsible-use guidelines for AI-enabled engineering tools, including security, privacy, intellectual property, code quality, and human review

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, application development, or a related technology organization
• 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing technical practitioners
• Experience leading engineering initiatives through requirements, design, development, testing, release, adoption, and support
• Leadership in previous roles, with successful development and advancement of team members
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, modern application architecture, and enterprise integrations, preferred
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, LLM-based applications, or engineering automation, preferred
• Experience in a field services, restoration, construction, distribution, or similar multi-state operating environment, preferred
• ITIL, PMP, Agile, Scrum, or comparable certification, preferred
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
